Among them, the largest export value is tool products, reaching 5.34 billion US dollars; followed by construction hardware, 4.34 billion US dollars. The export of faucets was US$2.23 billion and the export of locks was US$680 million. The countries with large exports are the United States, Japan, Europe, and South Korea. The annual export of my country's hardware industry is increasing at a rate of about 8%. Last year, the export volume of hardware products exceeded 5 billion U.S. dollars, ranking third in the light industry export ranking. Due to the improvement of China's hardware manufacturing level and the expansion of production capacity, it is expected that in the next five years, China's hardware products will maintain a steady growth of more than 10% per year. The import and export volume of my country's hardware and electromechanical products exceeded US$500 billion in the first 10 months. The surplus further expanded, reaching a total of 7.06 billion US dollars, accounting for 64% of the national trade surplus during the same period.

The development potential of the hardware industry is huge. The market opportunities are attractive. Luo Baihui, head of the International Mould and Plastic Hardware Industry Suppliers Association, pointed out that the current development characteristics of China’s hardware industry present six major trends: exports have surged, and comparative advantages are obvious; capital operations are active, driving enterprises Sharing of resources between enterprises; polarization of enterprises, bringing market rationality; increasing high-tech content, enhancing the market competitiveness of products, "domestic competition internationalization, international competition internalization" will be the characteristics of the development of China's hardware industry in the next few years.
